[SERMON] Undeniable Exploits – Rev. Biodun Fatoyinbo

Text – 1 Timothy 1:18

These prophecies were declared over Timothy so he could wage a good warfare. The prophecies served as a weapon for him to fight with and hold onto on God’s side. A lot of people do not understand the difference between the Jews, Gentiles and the Church. The first set of people God related to were Gentiles. The Church is not a building, but a set of people.

Words don’t die. Jacob spoke over all his sons and everything he said concerning them came to pass, even after his death. You can call things forth just by speaking. This is the side of God that gives you dominion on Earth. What you know could be what is affecting you. The moment you die, your body doesn’t go anywhere but your spirit does. It is appointed unto man to die once. You’ve already been sealed in Christ by reason of His death.

A prophecy over a Jewish person is different from a prophecy over a new creation child of God. As a new creation, God speaks through your spirit man. You must understand the function of a prophet in your life. In the Old testament, people didn’t have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside them. When a prophet tells you something, your spirit ought to bear witness with what he says. Whatever is prophesied over you is supposed to resonate on your inside as a form of confirmation of what the prophet is saying.

You never come to the realisation of who you really are by attending church once in a while. You need to constantly feed yourself with God’s word so that your profiting may appear unto all. Stop seeing yourself “situationally”. When you came into Christ, your identity changed to that of Christ’s. Anytime the devil told you that you are a failure, he lied. Begin to see yourself “revelationally”. Your fasting and prayers doesn’t change God’s mind towards you, it only grants you access to what has already been made available to you. Not every word edifies or builds you up. Only the word of grace can build you up. When you are built up, your inheritance is handed over to you.

You are supposed to be able to love God more and do greater exploits after these 12 days of Glory because you’ve been granted access to your inheritance. God gives His word which serves as Grace. The fact that God has said something over you does not mean the devil will not stir the storm. Sometimes, it may seem like God is quiet over your situation but really, the rest of the assignment is yours to finish. Grace is what God has made available to you and Faith is what you do to access what has been made available to you. You need to rise and speak to that storm because Grace has already been made available to you. Faith without corresponding action is dead. It is time to begin to take steps. Any system that teaches you to depend on someone else is not of God. God does not give money but He gives the anointing and power to enable you get money. What do you have? What problem are you solving? You’ve got something inside of you.

Run with it! There are wealth that are yet to be discovered and you’ve got the ability to create them. Stop being narrow-minded; there’s more! Expand your capacity. If you do not know what you’re expecting, it’s possible for you to walk right past it. Never allow your blessing bypass you because you’re expecting something less. You are a solution to the world. Never allow the enemy put you in a box. Eternity has been hidden inside of you.

If you need to change your circle of friends and people who speak into your life, then do so. Don’t allow anything hinder you. God is set to make you do undeniable exploits this year. He stops where you stop. Refuse to settle. It’s time to make that move. Shut all doors to your adversary. It’s time to embrace a new concept.

SERMON:: What Does It Mean To Dress Modestly? – Pastor David Ogbueli

In describing the mode of dress appropriate for women in church, the apostle Paul exhorts them to dress “modestly” with “decency and propriety” then goes on to contrast immodest dress with the good deeds which are appropriate for those who profess to be true worshippers of God (1 Timothy 2:9–10). While the Bible only specifically addresses the need for women to dress modestly, the same teaching would apply to men in principle. Both men and women should bring glory to God in their manner of dress.

Modesty in the way we dress is not just for church; it is to be the standard for all Christians at all times. The key to understanding what constitutes modesty in dress is to examine the attitudes and intents of the heart. Those whose hearts are inclined toward God will make every effort to dress modestly, decently, and appropriately. Those whose hearts are inclined toward self will dress in a manner designed to draw attention to themselves with little or no regard for the consequences to themselves or others.

A godly woman endeavours to do everything with a “God-ward” perspective. She knows that God wants His people to be concerned for His glory and the spiritual state of their brothers and sisters in Christ. If a woman professes to be a Christian yet she dresses in a way that will unduly draw attention to her body, she is a poor witness of the One who bought her soul by dying for her on the cross. She is forgetting that her body has been redeemed by Christ and is now the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19–20).

She is telling the world that she determines her own worth on a purely physical basis and that her attractiveness depends on how much of her body she reveals to them. Further, by dressing in an immodestly fashion, displaying her body for men to lust after, she causes her brothers in Christ to sin, something condemned by God (Matthew 5:27–29). Proverbs 7:10 mentions a woman “dressed like a prostitute and with crafty intent”—here, the woman’s heart condition is displayed by her manner of dress.

The Scripture says that we are to dress modestly, but what exactly does that mean in modern society? Does a woman have to be covered from head to toe? There are cults and religions in the world that demand this of women. But is that the biblical meaning of modesty? Again, we have to go back to the matter of the attitudes of the heart. If a woman’s heart is inclined toward godliness, she will wear clothing that is neither provocative nor revealing in public, clothing that does not reflect negatively upon her personal testimony as a child of God.

Everyone else in her circle may be dressing immodestly, but she resists the temptation to go along with the crowd. She avoids clothing designed to draw attention to her body and cause men to lust, for she is wise enough to know that type of attention only cheapens her. The idea of causing men to sin against God because of her dress is abhorrent to her because she seeks to love and honour God and wants others to do the same.

Modesty in dress reveals a modesty and godliness of the heart, attitudes that should be the desire of all women (and men) who live to please and honour God.

SERMON:: Developing your Value: Daniel’s Account – Pastor Nuel Manufor

…And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm.
– Daniel 1:18-20 NKJV

The greater challenge for most people in the quest for financial excellence, is not as much undiscovered value but rather, undeveloped value.

Everyone of us already know an area of endeavour that we feel like we are good at. The issue is that while we are good at it, we are not the best at it!

So when people really need that particular product or service, they go for someone better than us.

Daniel had the blessing. He had the covenant on his side, yet Daniel understood the importance of being the best.

Notice that the blessing did not keep the king from examining him along with the others! It gave him understanding but did not make him study!

Daniel deliberately decided that he would be better than his contemporaries, and the blessing helped him. He was found ten times better!

Are you better than others in your field? Are you among the top twenty percent of your field? If not, what are you doing about it?

Make a decision to be better! Get a professional certification and then another! Go for seminars! Learn skills relevant to your value area! Become one of the best in your field.

Develop the value you are offering to such a level that the person who pays for it will go away boasting because he got the best available.

“It is good for nothing,” cries the buyer; But when he has gone his way, then he boasts. Proverbs 20:14 NKJV

SERMON:: Beware of Manipulators – Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye

A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.
– Proverbs 22:3

Also read Proverbs 22:1-5

When you are popular and celebrated on account of your position or service in the kingdom of God, beware and avoid every temptation to use what you have received against the will of God. If you are not careful, you may fall into a trap and become another example, like the 250 princes who were destroyed in Numbers 16. That shall not be your portion in Jesus’ Name!

However, you need to know that if you are in a position of power or you are very famous and highly respected by people, you will be a target of manipulators.

If you are not extremely careful, you will fall into traps you never thought could ensnare you. After Korah, Dathan and Abiram orchestrated an evil plan and they wanted the children of Israel to buy into it, who did they contact? They deliberately chose the most popular 250 princes in the assembly of God’s people and carefully sold the idea to them (Numbers 16:2). Once that was done, convincing the people under these princes was a walk in the park.

Believe it or not, just as these princes were tempted, you too will be tempted. People who have goods and services for sale will come to you because they want to reach your members or those under your sphere of influence. Some of these may be beneficial to your people and some may not. Some people may even ask you to come and support a cause that is contrary to scriptures. Be very careful! Be watchful and prayerful.

When they come to make such proposals, place them side-by-side with the word. Any proposition that violates the word of God must be rejected without fear or favour. Those borderline issues which are not out-rightly wrong or sinful should be presented to God, asking for His direction.

Never allow yourself to be used by manipulators! If you lead the people under you astray, not only will their blood be upon your head, you may lose your integrity, position, power and honour.

Also, carefully watch out for sycophants who will sing your praise so high that you will not know when they begin to lead you astray.

Sycophants are “loyal” to you for very wrong reasons – reasons they may never tell you. They will always want you to see what they do, because they do their service to impress the leader and not God.

Ask God to weed off from you anyone who appears close to you but wants to mislead you.

SERMON:: LIving or existing

Your life is worth much more than the characteristics of living things. These characteristics only show that you are existing.

Gen 2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

The breath of God in man is the breath of life that activates the hidden treasures and potential in man making man a living soul. When you only exist you die with the greatness in you but when you live you die a fulfilled person.

Do not be deceived your life is worth more than treasures of the earth or why do you think a whole king of glory will die for you if you are just an existing being but how can you discover these hidden treasures and greatness in you?

No one can tell the treasures you have, hidden in you not even the devil except He, God who has made you and said everything He made was very good. God alone has formed you, destined you for greatness and planned your life according to his purpose that you will be praise of His glorious grace. Outside God, you cannot discover your reason for living, you will only exist and die unfulfilled.
When it looks like your greatness has been tampered with by sins, Jesus Christ has already rescued you through the works of salvation. Accept this great work, believe in Jesus and hold on to God.

Your life is worth more than existing start living the life God planned for you, release yourself unto God today!
Jesus loves you, God loves you.

SERMON:: The Supremacy Of God’s Power – Pastor Lazarus Muoka

Luke 10:19 says, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

POWER is an authority to exert obedience. It could be seen as various forms of constraint on human action, but also as that which makes action possible. The above verse of the Scripture, suggests that God understands the value and importance of power. He knows that His people need power that will distinguish them from other people of the world and give them complete victory over their enemies. After all, He is God and holds Omnipotent power.

When Jesus Christ appeared to His disciples after His resurrection, they questioned Him on the promise He made previously concerning restoration of the Kingdom of Israel. The question was because they realised He has become a Spirit and thus may no longer be physically with them always. His appearance to them was an opportunity for them to know what becomes of His promise of restoring again the Kingdom of Israel, the dignity of Israel or the dominion of Israel over every other nation.

Jesus told them that the knowledge of knowing the time or season when the kingdom would be restored was a sort of power because knowledge is power and power has not been bestowed on them yet; it was still part of the power of the Father. We must understand that the power, we are discussing here is not physical power, political, magical, judiciary, occult or mental power but absolute power. We are talking of power from above, absolute power, the power of God.

The disciples were asking of a political or dominating power that will deliver them from the Roman authorities. But the promise of God was of a power that would not only deliver them from their enemies but also make them do the work of God, execute the programme of God, achieve success in all areas of their endeavours, dominate and rule other nations.

This is the power that a Christian needs to do exploit and a barren woman needs to bear children. This is the power a businessman or woman needs to succeed. A demon-possessed person needs it to dispossess the devil and a weak Christian needs it to revive his prayer life.

If the power of God is upon you, your enemy will flee from you. The rod of Moses carried the power of God and when it was applied at the Red sea, miracle took place. The Red Sea divided and the children of Israel passed through the sea on dry ground with a wall of water on their right hand and left.

The power of God was upon the Ark of Covenant, a little wooden box, which contained the 10 Commandments, and when it was carried to the bank of the River Jordan, the river divided, and again the children of Israel walked through the river on dry ground.

Remember Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego, the three Hebrew men who refused to bow to the image made by King Nebuchadnezzar, and eventually, when they were cast into the fire, the power of God manifested and delivered them.

The presence of God’s power generates atmosphere for miracles. Stephen had this power, and as a result wrought miracles in his days as testified by the Bible. Acts 6:8 says, “And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people”. This passage captures the great character given of St. Stephen, a man full of the grace of God, full of faith, full of power to work miracles and deed, able to do all things through Christ that strengthened him.

A believer without this power is like a soldier without a gun. He cannot accomplish much. You must seek and acquire this power to be able to be above.
