Imo state government thugs led by the Imo state commissioner for Land and Housing, Uche Nwosu disrupted a debate forum organized by the Catholic Church for governorship candidates in the state at the Odenigbo pavilion of the Assumpta Cathedral Owerri.
Over 30,000 catholic faithfuls were in attendance and they were expecting to be wowed by the state governorship candidates – but their expection turned out to be a nightmare they will not be in a hurry to forget.
As the Bishops were putting finishing touches in-order to have a hitch-free debate, Uche Nwosu led-thugs invaded the venue. The alter of Bishop Obinna was destroyed and his eye-glass was smashed. A Catholic priest was manhandled and he eventually ended up on the floor.
Mayhem was unleashed on the Catholic faithfuls. The House of God was desecrated. The Arch Bishop was insulted, mocked and then, he was pushed with the intention of making sure that he fell – but his God obviously had other plans.
