Pastor Niyi Adesanya jokingly said some years ago; “One of the criteria of being a serving member in a church should be your social media handles”. Now, I understand what he meant.
Let’s humbly say the truth; this outbreak shocked and pushed the church really hard. You can’t play down the online presence of Pastor Nathaniel Bassey’s “Hallelujah Challenge”; he saw the future. The church failed to take advantage of this gift (social media) from heaven, we’re now forced to triple our hustle and educate our family.
Pastors are now consistently online putting in work they should have done many years ago. When the bible said “To the ends of the earth”, I honestly believe it refers to “social media” too. As at now, because of this lockdown some churches don’t hold services anymore.
Having said all these let’s move forward; soon we’ll learn how to live with this virus and our day to day lives will be back again, but there is another bigger weight coming to the church.
1. How do we talk people to come back to our church building.
Sounds like it doesn’t make sense right? Because we assume we’re all “matured” believers, who shouldn’t forsake the gathering of thy brethren. We should know this “Stay at home” period, some people have grown intimately with God; they know their God for themselves and they know God is not measured by distance and buildings.
2. Bible said “faith comes by hearing and constant hearing of the Word”.
Some who didn’t grow at home must have lost faith through fear and panic. If faith comes by hearing, it means faith can go by not hearing constantly.
THE CHURCH AS A BUILDING WILL GO THROUGH ANOTHER HUSTLE AND HARD/SMART WORK.
Are we thinking? Are we developing mediums and strategies?
So while we’re praying and prophesying, please ask God to open our minds to see what’s coming.
“This is what I will do in the last days — I will pour out my Spirit on everybody and cause your sons and daughters to prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will experience dreams from God”. – Acts 2:17 TPT
Are we in the last days?
What are we seeing and dreaming?
We need to WORK SMART AND PRAY MORE!
