[AUDIO] "My Light" - Vickie - Naija Gospel

[AUDIO] “My Light” – Vickie

Vibrant gospel music minister, songwriter, and composer, Vickie offers up a brand new song titled “My Light.” The song that finds its roots in Psalm 27 is birthed during battle.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Vickie says, “My light according to Psalm 27 is a song that rose in my spirit in a time of battle.

My mom has been diagnosed with a terminal disease and we were in the hospital for weeks. One night fear came upon me and I became extremely tired of everything. I was in deep inquiry as to how God would get us out of this “if we would make it out.” Then the scripture Psalm 27 sprung up in my spirit – “The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.”

“I began to recite it and decided to sing it as a song. My faith came alive, my confidence in God became stronger, and I declared that He would get us out and my mom wouldn’t die. I declared boldly that I would praise His name for all my days.” – she adds

“God brought us out and she’s alive and well today. Praise God in the dark hours, amid the storm, He is sovereign, He knows it all, and He is the controller of it all. I hope that this song and its testimony blesses you.” – Vickie concludes.

The song is now available in digital stores.

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
