Catholic Bishop Appointed Pro-Chancellor of Vasity

The governor of Nasarawa State, Tanko Al-Makura, on Friday, approved the appointment of the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Hassan Kukah, as Pro-chancellor of Nasarawa State University.

The notice of the appointment was contained in a statement issued by Mr. Kukah’s Secretary, Mr. Onuh, a Reverend Father, in Sokoto on Friday.

The statement quoted Mr. Onuh as saying that Mr. Kukah’s appointment was signed by the Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, Zainab Abdulmumini.

Mr. Onuh commended the governor for giving the Bishop the opportunity to contribute to the development of education in Nasarawa State and the country in general.
