Celestial Church Prophetess Sets 9-Year-Old Daughter Ablaze

A 37-year-old prophetess, Bose Oluwole is cooling off in police custody after she allegedly set her 9-year-old daughter, Damilola ablaze in an attempt to deliver her from witchcraft.
Bose, a prophetess with a Celestial Church of Christ in Epe was arrested by policemen from Epe police division, Lagos state after a distress call by residents of the area who claimed to have seen the suspect pouring kerosene on her daughter nad setting her ablaze.
Damilola was lucky to escape with her life as she was rescued and taken to Epe General Hospital where she is receiving treatment at the emergency ward of the hospital for first degree burns.
Upon interrogation, Bose reportedly confessed to the crime, saying she did it in obedience to God’s instruction to cleanse her of demonic spirits.
According to her, she saw in vision that her daughter was possessed and from the witchcraft world so she prayed about it and that’s when she got the revelation form the Holy Spirit to burn her in order to set her free.
The prophetess was charged before an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos on a two-count charge of felony to wit, and attempt to commit murder.
She however pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The magistrate presiding over the matter, Mrs. C. J. Momodu directed that the matter be transferred to Family Court 2 because of the age of the victim.
At the family court, the magistrate in charge Mrs. O. O. Oshin ordered the accused to be remanded in Kirikiri Prisons, Lagos and adjourned the case to June 2, for mention.
