Rivers State Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has felicitated with the people of the state on the Easter celebrations, urging them to use the season to pray for the peace of the state and her sustained development.

In an Easter message to the people of the state, Wike advised Christians to re-dedicate themselves to sacrificial living as exemplified by Jesus Christ for the growth of the state.

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
