This is not the best of times for Emmanuel Alaogo a.k.a Logo, one of Nigeria’s foremost gospel singers, as the cold hands of death recently claimed his wife during childbirth. The couple had been married barely a year before tragedy struck. According to inside sources, the artiste, who sang the hit song, Anya Wune Wune, lost his wife on August 21, after a cesarean section.
She was buried on September 2, at Gudu Cemetery, Abuja. Mourners from all walks of life and fans of the artiste came in their numbers to pay the young wife their last respects, wailing and emotional as she was finally laid to rest.
According to a close friend of the artiste, “things have not been the same with Logo since the death of his wife because they are just a young couple. He really loved her; they were very close. We can only pray that God gives him the strength to overcome this temptation in Jesus name.”
