Gov. Yakowa Asked Me To Organise Christmas Carol On Dec 19

For late Governor Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna State, December 19 has been set aside to hold a christmas carol in the government house but ironically, it was the wake keep of his burial ceremony that was held. This was revealed by the Chaplain of the Government House, Rev. Elias Kabu  while narrating his last day with the late governor at the  Sir Kashim Ibrahim House venue for the wake keep today.
The venue packed full with dignitaries such as the Vice President Namadi Sambo, newly sworn in governor of Kaduna, Mukhtar Yero, Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Serake Dickson, former governor of old Rivers state, Alfred Diete-Spiff, and convicted former governor of Bayelsa State, Dieprieye Alamieyeseigha was rented with wailings when at about 5pm local time, the Hiace ambulance with number plate MKA 581AE  that bore the corpse of Yakowa arrived  for the wake keep and the pall bearers removed the casket from the ambulance.
In his narration, Rev Kabu said that a couple of weeks before the helicopter crash that claimed the life of the late governor and others, “the governor called me that he wants me to organize the annual Christmas Carol at the Government House  on December 19, 2012 but here we are today instead of the Christmas Carol, we are organizing a wake keep for the governor.”
Kabu described the late governor as a committed Christian who “is even more committed than me because he was always punctual in attending service. “In his homely, the Archbishop of Kaduna Catholic Diocese, Archbishop Mathew Ndagoso Man Oso said that when the news of the air mishap filtered into his ears, “we are hoping against hope that it was all rumour after all.”
“God called him (Yakowa) because he  has he has achieved the purpose  which he was made the governor, “ he added, whiling urging political office holders to emulate the late governor, saying that “the problem of this country is that we do not have leaders  who care for the less privileged in  the country. Once elected, they just forget  about the people, until  when they want another vote.”
