Having travelled to Malaysia years back to pursue his dream as a footballer, he returns to Nigeria as a fledging gospel artiste after playing a significant role as one of the praise worshippers in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Despite being a gospel musician, he has featured in shows that are ordinarily for hip-hop artistes and other genre of music.
Kelek shone like a million stars when he performed in a show organised for Timaya in Malaysia, winning accolades as the only Nigerian artiste based in the country to perform in the events.
The efforts of the artiste recently yielded dividends when he released his first album in Malaysia titled All The Praise under Nigeria-based Reliable Records. Songs from the album are said to be enjoying serious airplay on radio stations in Malaysia even as it has become an album to reckon with amongst Christians in Nigeria.
The artiste told Klieg Light that this has encouraged him to shoot the videos of “All the Praise” and “Ose Baba” both songs from his debut album.
Kelek is definitely set to give gospel musicians in Nigeria a run for their money.
