On the 22nd of July 2016, at about 10:30hrs at Ajibawo in Ado odo OTA division 2, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC officers rescued a boy named Taiwo Korede aged nine years who had been chained for weeks at Celestial Church of Christ, Key of Joy Parish Ajiwo in Ogun State.
The story later went viral in favour of the little boy with his father who perpetrated the act later arrested by the police. The Church in question has been sealed by the police as further investigations continue.
The father will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded by appropriate authorities while the boy has been adopted by the Ogun State government.
