While Nigerians celebrated the 56th Independence Day anniversary in different ways which suited them, a clergy at Anglican Diocese of Owerri, Chinemerem Uche, took his own celebration to a whole new level by posing in front of one the “dirtiest” streets (Douglas Road) in Owerri, Imo state”
The priest was seen in the popular Douglas Street popping a bottle champagne and sharing it with a few bystanders
It is not clear, what the priest’s intention was, but many have commended his act which has called for attention from the government to do more to save the environment and to meet the needs of the people by giving good governance.
A commenter who could not bear the distaste of the environment wrote, “Big shame on that state governor!! imagine see rubbish as it full street and dem no pack am….. abi na buhari go come pack am again, abeg learn from ogun and lagos state.. na wa oooooooooo”
“I am fully in support of that priest, what are we celebrating? 56 years of failure?”, another added.
