As former Ekiti State governor Kayode Fayemi bows out today and the Ekiti people await the inauguration of the governor-elect, Ayo Fayose, prophets, pastors and Muslim clerics from the state’s 16 local governments are expected to engage in spiritual cleansing of the newly constructed Oke Ayoba Government House where he would be living.
The multi-million naira edifice, which was built by Fayemi, was commissioned by the speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Tambuwal.
Speaking during Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) programme in Ado Ekiti, on Tuesday, Fayose said: “I am inviting all our men of God to follow us to Oke Ayobo Government House on Thursday (today) to do some spiritual cleansing there.”
Fayose, however, disclosed that the invitation was not meant for neophytes, but for those who are spiritually endowed.
He said, “Let me emphasise that we are only inviting pastors, who are divinely called, to lead us to Government House. They (clerics) would be in front; we shall follow them. Our men of God would use the power of prayer to conquer.”
