[VIDEO & AUDIO] ‘Elonga’ – Awipi Ft. King David JPLC & Mama Tee

The internationally renowned Music Director, Awipi, has joined forces with the dynamic vocalist King David JPLC and the record label head Mama Tee for the revitalized version of “Elonga.”

“Elonga” translates to “Jesus, You’re the victor.” This song, first performed by the Benson Idahosa University Choir in 2009, exalts Christ’s triumph and emphasizes that Jesus emerges victorious in every circumstance. When Jesus intervenes in our lives, He guarantees our victory, leading us to conquer all battles and challenges. He champions our cause, enabling us to emerge triumphant.

According to Awipi, “Elonga” caught my attention while I was preparing for the ‘Take the Lead’ concert at Benson Idahosa University. It was originally sung by Benedicte Muad Kashama from Congo. Her rendition resonated with me, and after discussing the possibility with her, we reached an agreement to use it for our upcoming recording. We modified the solo and style of the song, giving birth to the Elonga version that we now know. We then recorded and released it.”

This song is profoundly uplifting, underscoring the strength of faith and our ability to live a victorious life through Jesus. Regardless of life’s circumstances, we always emerge victorious because, through Jesus, we maintain our triumph.

Jesus is the ultimate victor, Elonga!

Random Bible verse

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!
