Port-Harcourt-based Pastor, music minister, and prolific songwriter, Sampson Beals offers up his first official single titled “Ring the Bells of Christmas”; to celebrate Christmas.
The song is of a contemporary Anglo-Afro genre and provides a snapshot of the unavoidable storyline of Jesus Christ’s birth.
This project, beyond the storyline, extols the Lord’s name and the power that comes with it. The appeal to ring the Christmas bells is a gesture to announce the birth story of Jesus, to the shame of the powers of darkness.
Announce it by preaching Christ to others for salvation; announce it by worshiping the Lord.
The song “Ring the Bells of Christmas” has an Afro vibe to it, and some of it is delivered in the Kalabari dialect of Nigeria’s Ijaw tribe which echoes the English refrain “ring the bells of Christmas” and emphasizes even more that Jesus is our savior, creator, and owner; let us praise him!
