But apart from his teaching abilities and vast knowledge of the word of God, which a lot of people admire about him, another aspect of his life that people also talk about is his looks.
The light-skinned, tall and handsome Pastor commands attention whenever he comes in contact with people, especially the opposite sex.and to complement his looks, he is also a powerful dresser and has been voted as the most stylish man on the scene lately. He is one Pastor whose most ladies will do anything to be with. And because of this, Pastor Paul has been misjudged when it comes to the issue of women. He is one Pastor who has had his own share of negative press about his ministry and women. But in all of these, he has never made any comment or replied his critics. But recently, he organized a special service which took place at the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos.
At the special service, he opened up on some issues about his marriage, which he had never spoken about before.
Pastor Paul, told the congregation and other people present at the service that the only woman in his life is his wife, Pastor Ifeanyi. In his own words, he said, “ I want to be a little vulnerable with you this morning, I haven’t committed adultery and I have been married for about 16 years and God has kept me. I have never slept with any woman after I got married to my wife, none have I slept with in this church other than my wife. But the thing you don’t want to know but you need to know is that, I did not commit adultery because I didn’t want to, I wanted to, and it’s a very sad reality to my flesh that I will live and die at 94, and I will never have anyone else beside my wife, Ifeanyi”.
Speaking further on the matter, he says, “When I was an unbeliever and a sinner, I went lose Lucy, or bad Barbara or naughty Nancy, I would call up my friends, John, Fredrick and Frank and tell them, men, you need to see that girl, she was XYZ, and I will brag about it. But the moment I became born-again, I found a new law working inside of me. The Bible says if any man be in Christ behold, old things have passed, all things have become new. That means something new has happened in my life. That simply means, I’m now a creature in conflict. What my flesh enjoys, my spirit grieves about. So if I end up doing anything stupid or anything bad, I find myself in the most protracted conflict, and I hate myself for it”
But what a lot of people didn’t know is the fact that his wife also played a good role in ensuring that her husband is safe. Talking about the role she played in helping him stick to being a monogamist, Pastor Paul said “My wife has never refused me sex, in all 16 years of marriage, except she was in her monthly period, or it was just impossible, because of other physical challenges. Never! Anything I wanted it, she gave it to me. Because a woman is a covering sexually to the man, to protect him. You know, we have my sex days and her sex days are determined by her need. When it’s her sex day, I expect a tour and a lot of tour, and a lot of flowers and dim light. “Another way Pastor Paul has been able to curb these excesses is the fact that most of the time when he has to travel; he would probably go with his wife. And when she may not be available, he will go with his business associates.
“I have a deal going; I don’t travel, unless I travel with my associates. Secondly, if I’m going somewhere without my associates,I always ensure that my network are already waiting for me there, because that is what brings protection. It’s not that there are no women out there who are looking for me, it’s simply that I send out signals that make a woman very uncomfortable if she has ulterior motives. As a woman, you cannot get close to Paul Adefarasin’s home, house or family, unless you have no ulterior motives. Once you have ulterior motives, you are gone. We send out those signals, because what God has done in my life is too important to me, for me to sacrifice that for a fleeting moment of pleasure. Not just that, the God who took this broken suicidal destitute off the back street of Miami, gave me upper course of future and honour among men, I’m not going to do what will be nice for me to do, at the expense of grieving Him. It’s too much of a price to pay. I will rather enjoy my wife than sleep with another woman.” According to Pastor Paul, “Sometimes, if a woman has an eye on me, the first person I tell is Ifeanyi. If I’m beginning to feel something for anyone, physically or emotionally, I tell my wife. Once I tell her, it disappears. And my wife doesn’t use it to judge me or to look down on me; she uses it to help me. I have made a covenant with my eyes, that I will not look upon a maiden or lust after her. If I’m looking at a woman, I’m not looking for anything sensual begins to hit me, I will turn.” he said
And no doubt, Pastor Paul really loves his wife, he dotes on his wife, as showing her affection openly. Pastor Ifeanyi is a very lovable, calm and amiable person. She is also not threatened by the fact that she has to share her husband with a lot of people, she has also contributed a lot to the phenomenal growth of the church.
