Paraphrased:: A Rape Pregnancy Can Be Aborted – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

President of Believers Loveworld Incorporated and head pastor of Christ Embassy, Chris Oyakhilome, is in support of the abortion of pregnancies that emanate from rape.

He reportedly told his congregation last Sunday when a member asked what he thought about the controversial topic. But he also understood its nature when he alluded to some people’s likelihood of disagreeing with him.

Using David and Bethsheba’s case to answer the question, Pastor Chris said despite David’s prayer and fasting, the child who was a result of David’s sin still died.

The Pastor said: “No child should be brought to this world by force. If a lady has been raped, it’s left for her to make a decision of whether to keep the baby or not. If you have never been raped or someone close to you haven’t, you may not agree with this statement. It’s never mentioned anywhere in the Bible to keep a child from a woman who was raped!”

Pastor Chris is not new to controversies. He once reportedly said there was nothing wrong with masturbation, a statement that attracted him the criticisms of some of his fellow pastors, as well as a mass of the Nigerian populace.
