FOLLOWING their success on Gary Barlow’s Sing and their performance at the diamond jubilee concert outside Buckingham Palace, the African Children’s Choir returns to Stratford Park Leisure Centre on Saturday, 7.30pm.
The choir members are all children aged from eight to 11, who have been selected for their talent from thousands of hopefuls from Kenya, Sudan, Uganda, Nigeria, and Rwanda.
The children tour the world for one year, at the end of which they either begin or return to their schooling, which is provided for by donations received during the concert trip. The choir’s repertoire includes spirituals, gospel and children’s songs, plus some amazing choreography.
