Winners at the 1st Nigeria Gospel Music Awards

The 1st Annual Nigeria Gospel Music Awards [NGMA] took place on Saturday, November 5th at the prestigious Bespoke Events Centre in Lekki, Lagos.
In the opening remark, CEO of the NGMA, Kingsley Omoefe, was full of praise to God for making the event a reality. He also thanked all those who contributed in one way or the other to make the event come to fruition. He promised to make the event an annual affair.
The spectacular event was well attended by the crȇme de la crȇme of Gospel Music including Folake Umosen, Kunle Ajayi, Midnight Crew, Deejay Gosporella, Frank Edwards, Kenny K’ore, Rooftop MCs, Tim Godfrey & the xtreme crew, Anny, BNG, Charles Granville, Vivien Stephen, Onos, Nene, Sabina Umoren, Tolucci, Liza C, Gaise and many more.

The event featured outstanding performances by Olujazz Alabi, Freke Umoh (Abuja), Kenny K’ore, Frank Edwards, Gospel According to Rap (GA2R), Lily Perez (Abuja), Anny, Rooftop MCs, DM Squared and Deejay Gosporella’s “Born Champion” J-Clique.
Special Recognition award went to Deejay Gosporella and Dr Panam Percy Paul was awarded The Life Time Achievement award for their contributions to the Gospel Music industry. The last award for the night was a Posthumous one for the late Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa.
