As the date for the commemoration of the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ draws near, music minister, Favour Uzo drops a new single titled “The Cross”; just in time for the Easter celebration.
“The Cross” is a reminder of why Christ came, died and resurrected.
In John 19 vs 30, when Jesus was crucified at the cross, He said “it is Finished”; that means He has settled it all, He has defeated satan, sin, sickness etc. He got the victory; this means we are no longer under captivity, we are free, we are new born, our sins he has forgiven.
Favour shares the inspiration behind “The Cross”; “One of the days in Feb 2021, i was in my choir retreat and holy-spirit started talking to me about THE CROSS and what Jesus did, I cried uncontrollably. Then, I began to understand what Jesus really did for us at the cross.
I thought it was over until the upper week, precisely on a Tuesday, when I was spending time with the Holy Spirit and worshiping. Then this song about the cross came out of my mouth, immediately I knew a new song had been released to me”.
At the cross Jesus did it all for us.
