All roads will lead to the ancient city of Abeokuta on Thursday, October 10, for the annual Kings’ Day of Praise, a brain child of Oba Adedapo Tejuosho. The annual event is the gathering of kings across the country to praise the King of Kings.
According to Oba Adedapo Tejuoso, “The occasion serves as a rallying point for all traditional rulers beyond their kingdoms and jurisdiction of authority in absolute humility and one accord for the common purpose of praising and worshiping God.”
The Chairman, Organizing Committee of the event, Chief Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi, in his release said, “this year’s event is unique in many ways because Kings’ Day of Praise is going international with the extension of invitation to other traditional rulers across Africa who have shown interest in attending the event.
It is also the 10th anniversary of the convocation of Kings’ Day of Praise; a decade of high praise to God by traditional rulers across the country”.
Apart from Ebenezer Obey, Evangelist Aragbaye, Divine twin sisters, Hannah Sokunbi, Opelope Anointing, Tope Alabi among others will also perform at the event.
According to Obey, “There will also be traditional gospel music display in Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and Niger Delta cultural groups”.
Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun is expected to be the Chief Host of the event with the support of other Governors across the country. It will take place at Bishop’s court, Onikolobo Abeokuta, Ogun State.
