This Sunday, Festac will be empowered to worship as Gospel music minister Dera Getrude is preparing for the maiden edition of “Empowered For Worship With Dera Getrude”.
The Worship event with limited attendees is aimed at bringing like-minded Christian into a time of intimate fellowship with the trinity through worship. It promises to be an unusual experience as the team depends of the Holy Spirit to birth testimonies.

Dera Getrude is a worship leader and a songwriter. Last year, she released a couple of singles off her 2017 album – “In Your Presence“ – including “He Came,” “My Prayer,” “In Your Presence” and “Most Holy”. Her critically acclaimed video for the song “God of Heaven and Earth” was released in February of 2018 and enjoyed heavy rotations on cable and local stations.
Dera has hinted that she is working on new materials with production credit including the prolific producer Wilz. She hopes to unveil them in the course of the year.
