The maiden edition of The Nigerian Gospel Awards(NIGMA) is set to hold at the National Arts Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos.
The awards ceremony scheduled for 25 November, 2011, according to the organisers, will have top Gospel stars like Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi, Ayewa, Telemi, Bola Are, Funmi Aragbaiye, Kunle Ajayi and other stars performing.
The organisers said that it is a National Awards and it is aimed at rewarding and to recognise creativity among gospel stars and to launch Nigerian Gospel Music to the international scene.
Sponsored by Cadbury Nigeria Plc, Grand Oak Limited and Masamdore Ventures, NIGMA winners will be drawn from pure and undiluted Gospel singers and awards will be given in different categories.
The Governor of Lagos State Babatunde Raji Fashola is expected to be the Special Guest.
