The General Overseer, Living Faith Church International, Bishop David Oyedepo, yesterday paid a visit to the Imo State headquarters of the church, over the foiled bomb scare at the church, at the early hours of Sunday, 15 June, 2014.
The Bishop also paid a courtesy call on Governor Rochas Okorocha, at the Government House, Owerri, and expressed his gratitude to him for the quick intervention made to avert the planned disaster by the Boko Haram insurgents.
He lamented that the nation was being plagued by Boko Haram insurgents which he noted, had taken a great toll on the life and property of innocent Nigerians, and prayed for God’s intervention to stem the growing cancer of insurgence and terrorism.
The cleric who stressed that prompt action was needed by government at all levels to keep terrorism under check, noted that Boko Haram was beyond politics, and urged all to join hands to fight the menace to ensure a peaceful and united Nigeria.
The state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha commended Oyedepo for the visit, and assured that government was not relenting in its oars to ensure security of life and property of residents in the state.
