On Sunday, 26th February 2017 was the birthday of the General Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly, Rev. Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, aka Rev. King, and his faithful followers and church members took to the pages of Nigerian newspapers to celebrate him.
Recall that some months ago, the Supreme Court affirmed the death sentence passed on the Lagos-based pastor and even some of his neighbours asked for his immediate execution after he was tried and convicted over the brutal killing of a member of the church, Ann Uzoh.
In photos shared online by a Facebook user identified as Babasola Kuti, church members and loyalists of Rev. King paid for 13 pages advert spaces on ThisDay Newspaper just to celebrate his birthday.
The poster shared the photos and wrote; “And they paid for 13 pages in FULL COLOUR, Thisday Newspaper, to celebrate the birthday of a convicted killer.a murderer.
“Convicted up to Supreme Court level…currently on death row. Nigeria is a very sick nation.”
