…And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm.
– Daniel 1:18-20 NKJV
The greater challenge for most people in the quest for financial excellence, is not as much undiscovered value but rather, undeveloped value.
Everyone of us already know an area of endeavour that we feel like we are good at. The issue is that while we are good at it, we are not the best at it!
So when people really need that particular product or service, they go for someone better than us.
Daniel had the blessing. He had the covenant on his side, yet Daniel understood the importance of being the best.
Notice that the blessing did not keep the king from examining him along with the others! It gave him understanding but did not make him study!
Daniel deliberately decided that he would be better than his contemporaries, and the blessing helped him. He was found ten times better!
Are you better than others in your field? Are you among the top twenty percent of your field? If not, what are you doing about it?
Make a decision to be better! Get a professional certification and then another! Go for seminars! Learn skills relevant to your value area! Become one of the best in your field.
Develop the value you are offering to such a level that the person who pays for it will go away boasting because he got the best available.
“It is good for nothing,” cries the buyer; But when he has gone his way, then he boasts. Proverbs 20:14 NKJV
