Glowreeyah has released the video for “Ufedo Ojo”; track 6 off the 2019 album “The Core.”
The Igala song features Glowreeyah Braimah’s father, Sir Moses Braimah, who is celebrating his 82nd birthday and Glowreeyah has decided to commemorate his birthday with the release of the complementing video for the song.
“Today is my #SirChiefDrDaddy’s 82nd birthday and I thought it would be memorable to release this video of our hearty song together from #TheCoreAlbum, to honour him.
I am grateful that we could capture these precious moments visually and I pray that you are forever reminded of a restorative love that transcends time, space, seasons and generations,” – Glowreeyah Braimah.
“Ufedo Ojo,” one of the highlights of “The Core” album for obvious reason speaks of God’s love. It is written and sung in Glowreeyah’s native Igala language. It is in the traditional Folk music genre. Glowreeyah perfected the depiction of the father’s love by featuring her father in both the audio and video of the song. She had said earlier that the song is a reminder of his influence on her music and a culmination of their path to restoration.
The new video is the 2nd official release off the album, on the 22nd of November, 2019, Glowreeyah had released the video for “Holy Hallelujah,” the first track on the album.
