Intense Moments From “Empowered for Worship With Dera Getrude”

Festac experienced empowerment on Sunday, 28th of April, 2019 as 5th Avenue, F Close, House 6 was lit with the spiritual depth of “Empowered For Worship With Dera Getrude”.

Testimonies poured in, many were saved and a lot more rededicated their lives to Jesus. It was quite an encounter, that even after the concert many hung around to receive more of the spiritual substance the worship programme had called forth.

Speaking on the eventy, Gospel music minister Dera Getrude said; “I just want to use this opportunity thank everyone who came out for the first edition of the “Empowered For Worship With Dera Getrude” event. It was a huge success. God surpassed our expectations. Thank you very much for making yourselves available for God. I look forward to the next edition.”

The Worship event with the just concluded maiden edition is aimed at bringing like-minded Christian into a time of intimate fellowship with the trinity through worship. It is characterised by unusual visitation as the team depends of the Holy Spirit to birth testimonies.

Dera Getrude is a worship leader and a songwriter. Last year, she released a couple of singles off her 2017 album – “In Your Presence” – including “He Came”, “My Prayer”, “In Your Presence” and “Most Holy”. Her critically acclaimed video for the song “God of Heaven and Earth” was released in February of 2018 and enjoyed heavy rotations on cable and local stations.

Dera has hinted that she is working on new materials with production credit including the prolific producer Wilz. She hopes to unveil them in the course of the year.
